Donald Trump and Michael Cohen just poked Michael Avenatti in the eye, then immediately regretted it

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Stormy Daniels’ attorney Michael Avenatti is running such circles around the legal team representing Donald Trump and Michael Cohen, we’re not even sure they’re running in the same race. In fact Avenatti is winning by such a large margin in his legal battle against Trump and Cohen, they’ve resorted to dirty trickery to try to get Avenatti thrown out of the race entirely. It didn’t take long for Avenatti to fire back, leaving them regretting it.

The Trump-Cohen legal team tried filing a motion yesterday asking the judge to remove Avenatti from the case, on the grounds that he’s “demonstrate[d] his lack of fitness to practice before this court.” What are the odds of this motion succeeding? Just about zero, according to former federal prosecutor Renato Mariotti, who called it a “Hail Mary at best.” It’s simply an attempt at slowing Avenatti down a bit, as he’ll have to put in a bit of work in court to get this silly motion dismissed. But Avenatti quickly found a way to fight back.

Shortly after the motion was filed, Avenatti tweeted this: “Why is Mr. Cohen’s attorney Mr. Ryan representing Mr. Cohen at the same time he is working for Qatar? Especially in light of the Qatar bribery allegations revealed earlier this week? Are they paying MC’s legal bills? No wonder he is trying to keep me out of the case!”

So now Michael Avenatti is helping to expose Michael Cohen’s lawyer’s real conflicts of interest. Does this mean that Donald Trump’s attorney’s attorney needs an attorney? We’re guessing the Trump-Cohen legal team is wishing they hadn’t tried this pointless stunt to begin with. Score another victory for Avenatti.
