Rudy Giuliani goes even more berserk as it all falls apart

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Things are predictably going horribly wrong for Rudy Giuliani. His strategy of going on television and confessing to Donald Trump’s guilty has failed. Trump is making clear through media leaks that he’s unhappy about it. Giuliani just lost his law firm day job, and the law firm is publicly distancing itself from him. So how’s Rudy handling the fact that everything is caving in on him? By going even more berserk.

Michael Avenatti, the attorney for Stormy Daniels, has invited Rudy Giuliani to jointly appear with him on the television program of Giuliani’s choice, so the two of them can debate the merits of the ongoing scandal. But for some reason Giuliani is afraid to take him up on the offer, even though Giuliani never met a television camera he didn’t like. Now Rudy is showing his frustration, insisting in a new interview that he won’t debate Avenatti because “I don’t get involved with pimps.”

This is way, way, way over the line. Giuliani is falsely characterizing Daniels as a prostitute when she’s instead an adult film actress. Rudy also seems to be suggesting that porn stars (or prostitutes) don’t have the right to hire an attorney and defend their legal rights. This remark is just oozing with sexism and misogyny. That’s not shocking, as Giuliani has spent his entire life revealing what a sexist he is. But it is somewhat surprising to hear him admit it so directly.

In any case, it’s clear that Rudy Giuliani is going even further off the deep end now that his bizarre strategy in the Donald Trump scandal (whatever strategy it was supposed to have been) has blown up in his face. If Trump had any sense, he’d permanently get Rudy off the stage right now before it gets any worse – but we all know that Trump doesn’t have any sense.
