Here comes Robert Mueller’s big “flurry” of moves against Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Each time Special Counsel Robert Mueller has gone quiet in terms of what the public can see, we later find out it was because he was putting the finishing touches on a major move. These past weeks Mueller has been out of the spotlight while the SDNY has taken the lead on the Michael Cohen aspect of Donald Trump’s lifetime of crimes. But now Mueller is reportedly getting ready to launch into a “flurry” of big moves against Trump.

How do we know this? Timing. Four weeks ago, NBC News reported this: “Two people familiar with the investigation said they expect a flurry of activity from Mueller’s office on the investigation in the next six weeks.” That means two weeks remain in that timeframe. In other words, buckle up, because Mueller is gearing up to take his big swings.

Robert Mueller will file a report with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who can decide whether to make it public (hint: he will) before turning it over to the Republican-controlled Congress (which will probably do nothing). But based on Mueller’s consistent pattern of aggressiveness, we know for sure that he’s planning to do a whole lot more than just file a report and call it a day. In fact, once his report has been filed, it frees him up to go ahead and unseal the biggest indictments he’s been sitting on because he didn’t want to disrupt the investigation.

In other words, get ready for Robert Mueller’s biggest moves. If he thinks the courts will allow him to indict and charge Donald Trump, he’ll do it. At the least, he’ll go ahead and begin arresting those around Trump, because there will no longer be any reason to wait. This may explain why Donald Trump Jr and Jared Kushner are suddenly so obsessed with prison.
