Rudy Giuliani seems to be having second thoughts about wanting to go down with Donald Trump

Dear Palmer Report readers,

We all understand what a dark era we're heading into. Journalists will be prosecuted. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. Advertising networks can't be counted on. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight, because someone has to.

In that regard we're looking to start funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens or how dark things get. We've launched a reader supported fund, and we've already raised $3360 and counting. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can contribute here. Thank you in advance.
Sincerely,
Bill Palmer

Back when Rudy Giuliani first joined Donald Trump’s criminal defense team, it was fairly clear that Rudy was trying to get himself off the hook for something in the process. Of course his defense of Trump has been so inept, he’s probably hurt his own cause. Now Rudy is openly questioning whether any of this is going according to plan.

It’s long been clear that Rudy Giuliani had improper access to FBI secrets during the 2016 election, and that he leaked them just before election day in an effort to help Donald Trump. Rudy has since admitted during one of his cable news meltdowns that the Department of Justice Inspector General has been investigating him over this scandal. It’s also since become fairly clear that Giuliani is an agent of the government of Turkey.

Did Rudy think he could block the DOJ from going after him for these crimes, by helping Donald Trump to sabotage the DOJ and FBI? We still don’t know what his specific gameplan was, partly because he’s been so incompetent at it, he hasn’t been able to produce any identifiable results for himself. In any case, Rudy is now publicly expressing some kind of regret, or confusion, about whether he still wants to be on Team Trump.

Here’s what Rudy Giuliani just told the New Yorker: “I am afraid it will be on my gravestone. “Rudy Giuliani: He lied for Trump.” Somehow, I don’t think that will be it. But, if it is, so what do I care? I’ll be dead.” Wait, what? He did go on to say he doesn’t think he’s lied for Trump. This is just bizarre. But it sounds to us like Rudy is starting to regret how this is all going down.
