There is a warrant out for Sebastian Gorka’s arrest

Dear Palmer Report readers, we all understand the difficult era we're heading into. Major media outlets are caving to Trump already. Even the internet itself and publishing platforms may be at risk. But Palmer Report is nonetheless going to lead the fight. We're funding our 2025 operating expenses now, so we can keep publishing no matter what happens. I'm asking you to contribute if you can, because the stakes are just so high. You can donate here.

Donald Trump’s former White House senior adviser Sebastian Gorka is an alleged neo-Nazi and a confirmed white supremacist who was forced out of the job for being too racist even by Trump administration standards. Now we can add another dubious distinction to Gorka’s resume, as well as another black eye for Trump’s embarrassing White House. It turns out there’s a warrant out for Gorka’s arrest, and he’s an international fugitive. No, really.

Hungary has a warrant out for Gorka’s arrest on charges of “firearm or ammunition abuse” according to a new BuzzFeed report (link). While Gorka was born in the United Kingdom, he spent much of his life in Hungary. The Guardian has pieced together that the gun incident in question may have taken place when Gorka visited Hungary after having moved to the United States (link). In any case, while this confirms that Gorka is more or less who we always thought he was, the timing offers new insight into the Trump administration.

The arrest warrant has been in place since before Trump and his White House hired Gorka. This means that Trump and his administration either didn’t vet Gorka at all before hiring him, or did vet him and learned he was a wanted fugitive and hired him anyway. Gorka was a Breitbart writer at the time, and is thought to have been ushered into the White House job by Steve Bannon.

After John Kelly became White House Chief of Staff last summer, some of the more unsavory characters were shown the door, including Gorka and Bannon. However, another blatant racist, Stephen Miller, still holds a high ranking position in Donald Trump’s White House. So Gorka wasn’t fired for his white supremacist tendencies. Nor was he apparently fired for being an international fugitive. Gorka might want to avoid visiting Hungary any time soon.
