Robert Mueller is squeezing Jared Kushner like a grape, and the entire Trump family is suddenly up in arms
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been targeting Jared Kushner for some time, but he hasn’t yet been able to find a way to get Kushner to cut a plea deal against his father-in-law Donald Trump. Mueller has to convince Kushner that he’ll end up in prison for the rest of his life if he doesn’t flip. It looks like Mueller has finally found a way to get to Kushner – and suddenly the entire Trump family is huddled up, trying to figure out what to do next.
This morning we learned that Mueller has been targeting a guy named Richard Gerson. Why does he matter? First, he’s a close friend of Jared Kushner. Second, he’s caught up in the mess between Donald Trump, Erik Prince, the Seychelles, and the United Arab Emirates, according to a new report from NBC News. By now we know the drill, as far as how this works.
Mueller will try to convince Gerson that he’s headed to prison if he doesn’t cut a deal against Kushner. If Gerson does flip on Kushner, it’ll give Mueller overwhelmingly strong odds of winning against Kushner at trial, which would leave Kushner with little choice but to flip on Trump.
