Earlier this evening we learned that Donald Trump called the new president of Ukraine and offered him some kind of policy favors if he was willing to help promote a phony Joe Biden scandal which could tilt the 2020 election in Trump’s favor. This is a huge deal because it means Trump put his own fingerprints on what had been a Rudy Giuliani scandal, and he got caught. Now it turns out Mike Pence is knee deep in the scandal.

Just as this news was breaking about Trump trying (and failing) to criminally conspire with the president of Ukraine, Politico’s Anita Kumar reported on Twitter that Mike Pence “spoke by phone yesterday” with the president of Ukraine. Whoa, what’s really going on here, and why is Mike Pence suddenly in the middle of it?

Even as Donald Trump’s remaining loyalists in his administration have been scrambling to try to suppress the whistleblower report that documents Donald Trump’s fateful phone call to the president of Ukraine, it now turns out Mike Pence was on the phone with the president of Ukraine yesterday. We’ll give you one guess what the nature of the conversation was about.

Everyone in the Trump regime who’s involved in trying to suppress this whistleblower report is taking the very real risk of going to prison for a very long time. Now we know that Mike Pence has jumped into the fray, and is trying to convince the president of Ukraine of… something. The question is whether Pence is doing this because he’s just that stupid, or if he’s taking this risk because the whistleblower report also names him. Stay tuned.
