Just Dumb Vance is at it again
Sometimes, I ponder the following: what would it be like if they were all still with us? All of the greats — Abe Lincoln, FDR, and Martin Luther King Junior. What would it be like if ALL of history’s scribes were here, standing quietly, ink at hand, writing it all down?
What would it be like if our forefathers were here? I ask this question because of just how much has changed in politics. Today, politics is more like an angry football field than “Morning in America.” This is mainly due to Republicans who have turned the political process into their monster of malcontent, including sworn allegiance to an insurrectionist.
These days, if the GOP finds something they don’t like, all they have to do is shrug — and call it fake news. “Fake polls.” This is the newest snafu from Trump’s Vice-Monster selection, JD Vance. Believe it or not, this kerfuffle came through of all places, Fox non-news. Vance appeared on there and clashed with host Shannon Bream about the polls showing Harris ahead.
Saying that support for Harris is “stagnating,” Vance explained that some of these polls — he cited ABC and Washington Post were wildly unreliable and that the REAL polls show Harris’ numbers stagnating.
These polls seem to exist only in Vance’s mind because I’ve not seen ONE that actually says this—even in Republican polling. ance then began to melt down publicly. Accusing the media of using “fake polls” to suppress republican turnout, Vance accused the entire press of trying to cause conflict among Republicans with fake polls as their conflict weapon.
“The trump campaign is in a very, very good spot,” Just Dumb JD insisted. You know, it has finally occurred to me why Trump may have chosen Vance. Vance is a them-bot who will do ANYTHING, Trump says. Lie to the media? Check. Insult women? Check. Make a foll out of yourself over and over again? Double check.
Yes, the people I mentioned at the start of this essay would likely be horrified. So is the NEW age of historians who, I must remark, have likely never stumbled across ANYTHING like the windy shitstorm that is the Trump/Vance campaign.
