Joe Biden dominates the debate as Donald Trump has unhinged meltdown
Donald Trump knew coming into tonight’s debate that he stood no chance of winning. So instead he’s spent the entire debate behaving like a two year old with rabies, babbling nonstop and trying to prevent an actual debate from even happening. Trump keeps talking over Joe Biden and yelling at moderator Chris Wallace.
Fortunately, Joe Biden is taking no prisoners. He’s accurately sensed that the average viewer at home is incensed and embarrassed by Donald Trump’s unhinged behavior, and accordingly Biden has told Trump to “shut up” and called him a “fool” and a “clown.” This wouldn’t fly in most debate scenarios, but with Trump acting in such embarrassing fashion, Biden’s condemnations have turned out to be wholly appropriate.
As the debate has gone on, Trump has gotten lost in an endless spat with the moderator, and he’s failed to get any semblance of a message across. Instead, Trump told the Proud Boys, a white supremacist terrorist group, to “stand by.” Trump is pandering solely to the deranged extremists who are still cheering him on – but they’re far too small of a group to win him the election.
