So here’s something interesting. All along, Rudy Giuliani has famously been representing Donald Trump free of charge. We’ve always presumed this was because being the president’s lawyer gave Rudy, ahem, additional revenue sources. But now the New York Times is reporting that Rudy is suddenly demanding $20,000 a day to represent Trump in the imaginary effort to overturn the election results. That’s a massive fee, even for a high profile attorney.

This means that not only is Rudy no longer willing to work for Trump for free, he’s suddenly begun a cash grab effort of his own. This tells us that Rudy knows the end is near for him and Trump both. It further suggests that Rudy knows he’ll be arrested not long after the DOJ is free from Trump’s clutches, and that Rudy will need serious money to mount a criminal defense. It also means that Rudy thinks he can get the famously cheap Trump to pay him $20,000 a day for pretending to be his lawyer, which at this point sounds a lot like Rudy is trying to extort Trump into not flipping on him once Rudy is arrested.

– Wait, did Trump’s lawyers say they’re going to release the kraken or release the crackhead?

– Turns out Dolly Parton, who donated a million dollars early on to a COVID vaccine research fund, did more to bring us a COVID vaccine than Donald Trump did.
