Donald Trump is not only prone to exaggeration, but he is the king. He has been updating his Truth Social with activities surrounding his trial, and as usual, those posts exaggerate literally everything. It seems to work on his followers, so he continues to do it. It is a classic tale of how greed and stupidity can converge to line someone’s pockets, namely Donald Trump.

According to Reuters, Trump’s campaign team has been firing off daily emails to small donors, saying things like “I could be locked up for life,” and “I should be campaigning across America and fighting for our country. But instead, I’m stuck in Biden’s corrupt court AGAIN.” His donors have either finally figured out that they’re being duped, they’ve run out of money, or he just doesn’t have that many. Either way, his fundraising is noticeably short compared to what he raised in 2020. He has also been calling his supporters to rally outside the courtroom in New York, and he is busily trying to refute what’s appearing in the mainstream media. For example, he wrote on Truth Social: “PRAYING not sleeping!!” Hilarious. Trump knows more about “preying” than he does “praying.”

Trump complained that the police are turning away his supporters. He wrote: “Lower Manhattan surrounding the Courthouse, where I am heading now, is completely CLOSED DOWN. SO UNFAIR!!!” He sounds like a whining child. He went on to write: “People who LOVE our Country, and want to MAKE AMERICAN GREAT AGAIN, are not allowed to ‘Peacefully Protest,’ and are rudely and systematically shut down and ushered off to far ‘holding areas.'” None of this is true. The media is obviously all around the courthouse. CNN reported that people are indeed allowed outside the courthouse, and traffic is moving as normal despite heightened security. Reporters saw one-count him one-supporter outside the courthouse with a Trump flag. Guess they’re just not that into him anymore. When all else fails, Trump writes a “poor me” type of post, hoping to rile up his supporters. He should, however, be paying more attention to how he is riling up Judge Merchan.

The prosecutors in his case have not asked for Trump to be jailed; they asked for $1,000 per violation, which adds to up $10,000 or 10 violations. Judge Merchan decided to take the contempt matter under advisement. It doesn’t matter to Trump; he has merely continued his lies, claiming to have “stormed out” of the courtroom one day (which didn’t happen), and his claims of several “emergency” news conferences (which also didn’t happen the way he describes). These lies work well with his supporters, as he has raised $5.6 million this week. Regardless, he seems to maintain an even keel whenever in the courtroom.

Trump talks a big game, but he’s scared of Judge Juan Merchan. In a sense, he is afraid because Judge Merchan has the power to throw his ass in jail. Yet, he still gets behind his computer screen and writes nasty posts about him. That, my friends, is the behavior of a classic coward.
