Donald Trump goes even further down the January 6th rabbit hole
Donald Trump is about to stand criminal trial in multiple jurisdictions for his actions in relation to January 6th. If he had any sense he’d be trying to distance himself from the insurrection he incited and the people who carried out the attack. But Trump has no sense.
Trump is instead spending January 6th cozying up to the domestic terrorists who attacked the Capitol, and even calling for them to be let out of prison:

I’m old enough to remember when a Republican President once said that you’re either with us or you’re with the terrorists. Donald Trump is making it very clear that he’s with the terrorists. Trump just keeps handing us soundbites to use against him in a general election if he does end up with the 2024 Republican nomination.
